Move over India! Vietnam is vying for the first place slot as our favorite port visited. After an evening in Ho Chi MinhCity visiting a friend from Takoma Park, we joined a small S@S trip that went north to Hanoi and then west to the rice fields and mountains of Mai Chau. We did a great deal of craft shopping, including textiles like those shown here. We also trekked through the mountains visiting the villages of some of the 53 minority peoples of Vietnam.
